This one goes to  … Bon Iver Live at the Hollywood Cemetary!

Justin Vernon might not ever get the distinction of being a man of few words (or projects). Though his latest, and arguably most popular effort to date, is on hiatus he’s left an indelible mark on the concert venue concept. In September, Vernon created a dream-like experience at the gates of the Hollywood Cemetery…you know, where all the movie stars are buried. Starting at midnight, attendees listened to hand picked music (ranging from The Dirty Projectors to Sam Cooke), watched films (Planet Earth) and watched a monk bless the cemetery all before Vernon and his band took to the stage at 6 in the morning. I think I wanted to be there more than I wanted to be at the last Woodstock. The thing about that one, is that I wouldn’t have been caught in the middle of a fire.
