The Record Crate

As 2011 will mark the third year of our blog’s humble existence, it is time to unload our Second annual Certified Gold awards. For those of you just tuning in, think of it as a sort of “Top 10” list. There might be more than then. There might be less. I don’t let numbers run my life. Does this look like billboard.com to you? I’m certainly not going to bore you with how Kanye deserved every point given to him by Pitchfork, because that’s NOT how I feel. I give awards to those who deserve them. Point blank. Watch for these posts over the next few days as I detail everything that happened in 2011 that’s worth noting. You might be saying to yourself “What about band A? Their debut was amazing!” Or “I can’t believe you dissed band B’s last single.” Well guess what? Their album was terrible and I will indeed “diss” some band you probably have been having wet dreams about since you realized that Justin Bieber poster above your bed no longer provided you with sufficient material to ensure a wet-dream-free rest.
